BIOMED Distinguished Lectures
Seminars in the BIOMED Distinguished Lecturer Programme are delivered by external speakers of international distinction and from different areas of the biomedical sciences. These seminars present an excellent opportunity for PhD students to broaden their scientific horizon and to explore newly emerging themes in life and health sciences.
Each lecture is followed by a discussion lunch between the lecturer and a small group of PhD students. These lunches allow for an in-depth scientific discussion with the speaker, but they can also be a forum to discuss broader PhD-related themes such as postdoctoral opportunities, going abroad during/after your PhD, career in academia versus industry/biotech and so on.
PhD students are expected to attend as many lectures as possible. PhD students who wish to participate to the discussion lunch, should register via Toledo.
